WHAT WE DO
Bridging Worlds and Creating Opportunities
The Community Philharmonic Orchestra offers an opportunity to amateur musicians to play alongside and share a stage with professional musicians. Where possible we aim to have an orchestra consisting of at least 50% amateur musicians at all times during performances.

Uniting Amateurs and Professionals
Mentoring Musical Excellence
The Community Philharmonic Orchestra’s program focuses on mentoring and tutoring at various levels within the orchestra, also encompassing life skills development. Key objectives include empowering and supporting amateur musicians, fostering effective role models, and providing opportunities to shadow professional conductors, thereby cultivating future professional music leaders from these communities. The orchestra hosts workshops and music development initiatives within communities to raise awareness of opportunities in music and recruit future musicians.”
Empowering Musicians Through Mentorship
Many talented amateur musicians dream of a bigger stage. The Community Philharmonic Orchestra provides that opportunity, allowing them to perform alongside and learn from professionals through structured mentorship, developing both players and conductors.”
